Real Madrid will resist Chelsea, Arsenal Beckham offers

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has vowed to keep midfielder David Beckham away from interested Premiership clubs.

Perez will resist any efforts by Chelsea or Arsenal to make a move for him at the end of the season.

The Bernabeu chief held a meeting with the England captain's personal manager Terry Byrne at an exclusive Madrid restaurant last week.

A club insider told The Sun: "Beckham has a crucial role on the pitch and also in our business ambitions as we continue to increase the reach of the club around the world."
