That being said, though, Madrid will search for reinforcements at right back and centre back according to MARCA, in a season where Ancelotti's already battle-worn troops could play up to 72 matches across seven competitions.
Possible purchases for the heart of the back four include Castello Lukeba and Victor Reis, while President Florentino Perez could also see whether Liverpool might be willing to accept a cut fee for Trent Alexander-Arnold, whose contract will have less than six months to run on it at the turn of 2025.
