Real Madrid watch as Roma push for Betis ace Joaquin

AS Roma chiefs are preparing a serious move for Real Betis star Joaquin.

President Franco Sensi met with trainer Fabio Capello and transfers chief Franco Baldini last week to discuss their plans for the summer market.

A priority is to strengthen the right-side of midfield, particularly with Cafu leaving the club at the end of the season.

Joaquin tops Sensi's shopping list, who knows it will take over £16 million to prise him away from Betis.

The winger is also a target for Real Madrid, though Sensi has shown already this week he has cash to spend after offering £9 million for Ajax striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
