Real Madrid wanted Sacchi to coach team - agent

Ernesto Bronzetti, an agent who works for Real Madrid, has revealed Arrigo Sacchi announced plans to resign this week because he did not want to coach the team.

Sacchi will leave his position as Real general manager on December 21, citing family reasons, but Bronzetti revealed that he chose to make the announcement this week because the club wanted him to takeover from the sacked Vanderlei Luxemburgo.

"The announcement of the sacking of Vanderlei Luxemburgo and the pressures from Real Madrid, where they wanted him to be trainer, have forced him to announce his decision now," said Bronzetti.
