Real Madrid want Seitaridis deal to be above board

Real Madrid have asked the agent of Panathinaikos fullback Giorgis Seitaridis for concrete proof that he has not agreed a pre-contract with Porto before they move for the Greek international.

Real president Florentino Perez wants Seitaridis' signing to be above board and will only move for the 22 year-old if he can produce guarantees that no promise was made to Porto before the Euros that he would join them.

If Seitaridis' agent, Pashalis Papadopoulos, can show in writing that no agreement with Porto exists, then Real will meet Panathinaikos' £2.5 million asking price and sign the right-back.
