Real Madrid want Ronaldo to demand Man Utd transfer

Real Madrid want Cristiano Ronaldo to slap in a transfer request at Manchester United immediately after Euro2008.

The Sun says the Spanish giants want him to deliver the ultimatum to Manchester United before jetting off on holiday.

Ronaldo, 23, has continued his cat-and-mouse game with United. When he was asked about his future the winger said: "I don't know - but my future is good. My focus is only to play well in the Euro. After the Euro I'll talk."

Real followed the same strategy when they nabbed Zinedine Zidane from Juventus for a world record £47million fee seven years ago.

If the plan fails, Real will expect Ronaldo to go on strike.
