Real Madrid want deal done in January and personal terms are 'agreed'

Real Madrid have agreed personal terms with Manchester City youngster Brahim Diaz, it's claimed.

Transfer expert Duncan Castles says the Spanish midfielder, 19, wants to complete a move to the Bernabeu in January after giving the green light to a contract.

Diaz is out of contract at the end of the season - and has snubbed offers of a new deal which is worth around £25,000 a week including bonuses.

Ironically, Diaz is represented by Pere Guardiola - the brother of Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola.

"Diaz felt he wasn't getting enough opportunities to play in the first team or develop in the first team, and there's been a lot of interest in his services subsequently," Castles told the Transfer Window podcast.

"He's now agreed personal terms with Real Madrid and will join them."

"I think Manchester City have actually been quite lucky here because Diaz could go for essentially nothing when his contract expires in the summer."

"Madrid would be liable to pay FIFA training compensation of a few hundred thousands euros but Madrid and the player want to make the deal happen in January."
