Real Madrid want cut-price deal for Chelsea star Eden Hazard despite Paul Pogba interest

Real Madrid are still interested in Eden Hazard if they can negotiate the price, according to reports in Spain.

Express Sport understands Hazard is a target for Paris Saint-Germain this summer and the squad at Stamford Bridge is set for major overhaul.

Incoming Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is expected to bring in a number of players to fit his system as he seeks to avoid a repeat of their disastrous season.

And the current Italy manager could be without talismanic forward Hazard when he starts his first Premier League campaign.

According to Spanish newspaper OK Diario, Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane holds the Belgian in high regard and while Juventus star Paul Pogba remains his top priority, he retains an interest in signing Hazard.

Zidane is said to have told Jose Mourinho to sign the player when he was at Real in 2011.

However, the Portuguese boss failed to do so and Hazard joined Chelsea a year later for around £32million.

But now the Blues are said to have told Madrid they will have to pay £80m if they want to sign him.

PFA Player of the Year and scoring 14 goals as Chelsea won the 2014/15 Premier League title, the 25-year-old was on the scoresheet just four times this campaign.

And while it has not diminished Zidane's admiration for the player, Real are no longer willing to pay the £80m.
