Real Madrid waiting for Florentino Perez’s ‘yes’ to sign Brazilian wonderkid

A recent report from MARCA’s Mario Cortegana has offered an update on the future of Endrick. Widely regarded as one of the most talented youngsters in world football, the Palmeiras starlet has become a subject of interest for many clubs across Europe, including Real Madrid.

The reigning European champions are in an excellent position to sign the forward, who recently became the youngster goalscorer in the history of the Brazilian top flight, by netting a double in the win over Athletico PR.

The race to sign Endrick has already begun, with Paris Saint-Germain one of the clubs hoping to secure his services. The French champions have recently had their €20 million bid rejected by Palmeiras, who are holding out for at least €30-35 million, although his release clause stands at €60 million.

Although the Whites are yet to produce an official bid, they are working behind the scenes and are believed to be close with the player’s environment.

In fact, the entire operation could be dependent on simply a ‘yes’ from club president Florentino Perez. Real Madrid, after all, have harboured an excellent record of nurturing young Brazilian talents in the recent past, with Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo being the prime examples.

Endrick could well become the next one to join the ranks, although the Palmeiras youngster is not eligible to move to Europe until he is 18.

The attacker is currently at 16, but that will not stop PSG and Real Madrid from going head to head, in their pursuit of signing one of the biggest talents Brazil has produced in recent years.

Endrick made history recently as he scored a brace in Palmeiras’ 3-1 win over Athletico Paranaense. In the process, he became the youngest-ever player to score for Palmeiras’ first team at the age of 16 years and three months.
