Real Madrid Veteran Raul Can Become Coach

Raul's agent Gines Caravajal has declared that the veteran striker has "the soul of a coach" and could one day lead Real Madrid as trainer after an illustrious playing career in the famous white shirt.

The 32-year-old striker has played for Madrid since 1994 and Caravajal insists that "if there is anything this world he loves it is Madrid" and says that the striker and club president Florentino Perez are bound by their common obsession: the club.

"They [Perez and Raul] are two very smart people and have got along well together. Both are obsessed with Madrid, that binds them," he said in an interview with AS.

"I do believe that he really likes the bench. Raul has the soul of a coach and may be devoted to it when he leaves active football. Raul spends the day watching football matches at home. He watches the Premier [League], Calcio, the Bundesliga. He likes everything. This is his life."

Raul's agent doesn't believe the player will be coaching any time soon however as he believes Raul still has a lot to offer as a player.

"He has this year and another, but much remains to be seen. If he plays thirty games next season, he can renew for another year if he wants," he said.
