Real Madrid use Eto'o to land Atletico Madrid star Torres

Real Madrid are on the verge of a sensational agreement which will eventually see Atletico Madrid superkid Fernando Torres move to the Santiago Bernabeu.

AS says Real are set to buy the 50 per cent share Real Mallorca own of Sammy Eto'o for £6 million and immediately loan the Cameroon ace to Atletico.

In exchange, Atletico will grant Real Madrid first option on Torres - so securing the youngster's future at the Bernabeu, despite the best efforts of AC Milan, Manchester United and Chelsea.

Atletico insiders are confident Eto'o will play for the Rojiblancas for three seasons, but Real president Florentino Perez is convinced the 'African Henry' is on the verge of greatness and expects to re-sign the striker at the end of the coming season.

Perez will also demand a clause in Eto'o deal which will prevent him from playing against Real Madrid while in Atletico colours.
