Real Madrid upset at Arsenal's Vieira price

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is disappointed at Arsenal's valuation for skipper Patrick Vieira.

The Gunners have slapped a £30 million price-tag on the Frenchman, a figure which Perez believes is too high for a player who lacks off-field marketability.

Perez had dinner with coach Jose Antonio Camacho on Wednesday evening and they discussed Vieira's signing. It was decided that they wouldn't push for the French international until they had a definitive answer over their offer for AS Roma midfielder Emerson.

Real have offered £12 million for the Brazilian, which has been accepted by Roma. But Emerson is refusing to go to Real and is holding out for his dream move to Juventus.
