Real Madrid try again for Arsenal's Vieira

Real Madrid are considering a fresh assault for Arsenal captain Patrick Vieira.

Spanish press reports state Vieira is again in the thoughts of Real president Florentino Perez for this summer's market.

Having been stunned by Real Sociedad's £17 million asking price for Xabi Alonso, Perez is seriously considering making a major bid for Vieira.

Perez will have intermediaries seek information on Vieira's situation at Arsenal and whether there is a possibility of convincing him to move to the Santiago Bernabeu.
