Real Madrid tracking Sporting Lisbon defender Daniel Carrico

Real Madrid have joined the interest for Sporting Lisbon defender Daniel Carrico.

Carrico, 21, started the season in Sporting's B team, but such has been his form that major European clubs, including Valencia and Manchester City have been posting scouts to track his progress.

Real are also keen, says Cadena SER, with Carrico, in his first full senior season, having already twice won Young Player of the Month awards in Portugal.
