Real Madrid tracking Quiroga

Real Madrid are being linked with a move for Sporting's Argentinean under-21 defender Facundo Quiroga, who is currently on loan at Napoli.

The Spanish club's manager was last week in Portugal for talks with the Lions PLC president, Miguel Ribeiro Telles, about the possible transfer of Beto from Sporting to Madrid.

But Real is also interested in signing youngster Quiroga, a hot prospect for the future and a player who has proved he is ready to join a big club in Europe.

Serie A outfit Napoli would ideally like him to sign a new, year-long loan contract, but Quiroga is not interested in playing for the relegation-haunted Italian side should they slide into Serie B.
