Real Madrid to wait for Everton's Rooney

Real Madrid haven't stopped raiding the Premiership for England's best talent.

After snapping up Jonathan Woodgate (Newcastle) and Michael Owen (Liverpool) inside a week to play alongside their England captain, David Beckham, Real are now focusing on Everton whiz-kid Wayne Rooney.

Real president Florentino Perez is already a big fan of the 18 year-old and has sounded out his representatives about a move to Spain.

The News of the World says Perez's intention is not to go for Rooney until the end of this season, but Real's board are already discussing incorporating the teenager into the club's setup.
