Real Madrid to test Liverpool with £20M Owen bid

Real Madrid have revived their interest in Liverpool striker Michael Owen.

After winning the club's presidential elections in a landside result, Florentino Perez is set to return to the negotiating table for Owen.

The England striker is still to sign a new contract at Anfield and the Sunday Express says Perez is preparing a £20 million offer.

With new investment now thin on the ground, Liverpool could be forced to cash in to help new manager Rafa Benitez compete in the summer market.
