Real Madrid to offer Spurs Morientes for £14M

Real Madrid are ready to offer striker Fernando Morientes to Tottenham for a knockdown £14 million.
According to the Evening Standard, Real sports chief Jorge Valdano and president Florentino Perez believe that the furore caused by their move for Ronaldo has left Morientes demotivated and distracted.

They now doubt Morientes' commitment to the club and are ready to slash £6 million off their original £20 million asking price to secure a deal with Spurs.

Spurs boss Glenn Hoddle confirmed yesterday after victory at Charlton that he was still in talks with the Spanish giants.
