Real Madrid to offer Arsenal's Cole £75,000-a-week

Real Madrid and Barcelona are battling for Arsenal left-back Ashley Cole.

The England international is also being tracked by Chelsea, but it's Real who are in the boxseat with an offer which will treble Cole's current wages, says The Sun.

Real president Florentino Perez regards Cole as the man to succeed Roberto Carlos as the world's most recognisable left-back and hopes his growing English influence at Madrid will convince the Londoner to accept his £75,000-a-week mega contract offer.
