Real Madrid to offer £60M for Man Utd's Ronaldo

Real Madrid are ready to offer a staggering £60 MILLION to convince Manchester United to sell their star man Cristiano Ronaldo.

Encouraged by comments made by Ronaldo's agent, Jorge Mendes, this week that they would wait until the end of this season before talking seriously about a new contract, Real president Ramon Calderon is ready to throw the bank at United to land the Portuguese dazzler.

AS says Calderon knows Ronaldo's current contract holds no buyout clause, but is convinced making a world record bid will force the Glazer family to cash in on the midfielder.

Earlier this week, Ronaldo insisted: "I consider myself a United footballer who is playing well and trying to help the team."

"If things keep going well, I want to stay here. I'm not a Galactico."

"I'm only thinking about United and I want to stay here for more than two more years."

"I want to leave my mark on this era, win titles and be a figure in the history of this club."
