Real Madrid to keep Beckham over sponsorship deal

Real Madrid coach Carlos Queiroz expects David Beckham to stay with the club next season.

Queiroz told BBC Sport: "I believe David Beckham will be here next season. With more experience, his maturing decisions and skill, I believe he can improve."

Interestingly, Beckham recently signed a contract with multi-national company Gillette worth £40m - and Spanish league rules dictate that Real would be entitled to half this sum.

Beckham is also understood to have told Real president Florentino Perez that after the club's miserable current season, he wants to stay another year to prove himself.
