Manchester United winger Angel Di Maria has completed his medical in Doha ahead of his €63 million transfer to Paris Saint Germain, but the real winners of the deal may be his former club Real Madrid, who will reportedly earn €8 million from the sale, as stipulated in their contract following the sale of Di Maria to Manchester United last summer.

According to Cadena COPE, Real Madrid placed a clause in the final sale agreement with Manchester United last summer, that should the player be sold by the Red Devils, Los Blancos would receive 8% of the final sale price.
Di Maria’s transfer fee to PSG is €63 million and Real Madrid will receive €8 million from the sale.
After battling for playing time with Gareth Bale during the 2013-14 season, Di Maria chose to leave the Santiago Bernabeu to try his luck in the English Premier League with Manchester United, who paid a club record fee for the Argentine.
However, things turned sour as Di Maria struggled with injury and inconsistency, while also dealing with off field issues, leading the player to demand a transfer to the French giants.
