Real Madrid to demand over €50m for unwanted playmaker Isco

Real Madrid are willing to listen to offers for Isco of over €50 million after the club decided to keep Marco Asensio at the club.

Isco was regarded as on of the hottest prospects in Spanish football in recent years, but has found himself struggling to compete for a regular place in starting lineups since his arrival in 2013.

The attacking midfielder’s career showed plenty of promise after his emergence as a key player at Malaga and a Euro U-21 Championship winners medal in 2013.

Now, after an underwhelming 2015/16 campaign and failing to impress during Zidane’s tenure, Los Blancos have decided to cash in on the 24-year-old Spaniard, according to AS.

The club are demanding offers over €50m for the player – more than the figure Manchester City paid Schalke for Leroy Sane – according to the report from the Spanish outlet.

And on the future of his midfielders, the Real Madrid manager was quoted as saying: “They are all very good, but we need to make some decisions.”

The news has alerted clubs across Europe to the availability of the two-time Champions League winner, with Arsenal rumoured to have held an interest in bringing the pass master to The Emirates.
