Real Madrid threaten Juventus hopes for Ajax's Maxwell

Real Madrid are threatening Juventus' push for Ajax wing-back Maxwell.
 
Juve are favourites to land the Brazilian, who is off contract in the summer and seeking a move to a foreign competition.

Maxwell's agent, Mino Raiola, has a good relationship with Juve chief Luciano Moggi and it appeared the player would be moving to Turin.

However, Real coach Vanderlei Luxemburgo wants Maxwell as a replacement for veteran Roberto Carlos and the prospect of joining the Brazilian contingent in Spain has turned the wing-back's head.
