Real Madrid teenage wonderkid could make his debut vs Las Palmas this month

Despite their extraordinary start to the season, Real Madrid have had a difficult time with injuries in these early parts of the campaign.

While Vinicius Jr is not expected to return sooner than the October game against Sevilla, there is good news, as far as the injury of Arda Guler.

The new signing from Fenerbahce sustained a knee injury early in the pre-season and had to undergo surgery, meaning he is yet to play a single game for the Merengues.

A recent report from Mundo Deportivo has offered an update on the fitness of Guler, suggesting that the youngster could make his Real Madrid debut this month.

As per the report, the young Turk is set to make his comeback on September 27, when Real Madrid take on Las Palmas at Santiago Bernabeu.

Guler, who went through surgery in the middle of August, was expected to be out for at least two months.

But it appears the teenage prodigy has gone through a much faster recovery process than expected, under the supervision of the club doctors.

Real Madrid doctors have taken utmost caution with the player’s recovery, but Guler himself has indicated that he would be ready to make his debut this month.

That could come at the end of the month against Las Palmas, as the youngster finally looks to make a mark in Spanish football.

Real Madrid have already enjoyed immense success with the acquisition of Jude Bellingham. The club will now hope Guler to start offering the goods in the final third as well.

The Turkish international’s return could serve as a real boost for coach Carlo Ancelotti, with the manager and his staff understood to be in awe of the teenager’s abilities.

The Italian mastermind can utilise Guler’s playmaking abilities to add more impetus in Real Madrid’s creative department and ease the pressure on Bellingham in the final third.
