Real Madrid target Vargas resists Fiorentina talks

The agent of Fiorentina fullback Juan Manuel Vargas admits new contract talks are not on the agenda.

Peru international Vargas is a January target for Real Madrid and Jorge Cysterpiller's comments last night ruling out new contract talks will only add fuel to speculation a move to Spain is likely.

"He is fine in Florence, but at this time he is not thinking of a contract extension. One of the biggest clubs is interested in him, but he thinks only of playing well with Fiorentina," said Cysterpiller.
