Real Madrid target Diarra won't rock Lyon boat

Lyon midfield ace Mahamadou Diarra won't demand a transfer, despite his ambition to join Real Madrid.
 
Real coach Fabio Capello wants Diarra signed before the Liga season kicks off, but club directors know negotiations will be difficult with Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas.

Diarra has told close friends he can't afford to get on the wrong side of Aulas, who could simply choose to banish the Mali star to the reserves if he proved difficult.

Aulas won't consider less than £24 million for Diarra, however Real directors are confident an offer of £21 million will land the midfielder.

"I have shown (to Aulas) my will to go to Madrid. But it seems that he has not understood me," Diarra told L'Equipe.

"I do not know if I will be able to take up this opportunity that has been offered to me. A club like Madrid, that offers you the chance to wear its shirt is something that happens to you once in your career."

"I do not want to fail to take advantage of this opportunity."
