Real Madrid target Bale heavily backed to leave Tottenham

Punters are backing Gareth Bale to leave Tottenham for Real Madrid this summer.

Sky Bet reports that the Welsh ace is being more and more fancied to exit White Hart Lane despite Real’s most recent bid being rejected by the North London club.

However, reports suggest the Spanish giants will return with an offer of around £86million, suggesting that Bale could perhaps move on. His odds to do so have been slashed from 5/2 to 1/2.

"The majority of bets throughout the summer have been on Bale remaining at Tottenham, but we've seen a sudden shift in interest in him leaving and we now offer 7/4 on him staying at Spurs," said Sky Bet’s Chris Spicer.

"Reports suggest that Real Madrid have now made their move and that Bale is unhappy that it has been swiftly rebuffed."
