Real Madrid switch attentions to Inter's Cannavaro

Real Madrid are ready to move for Inter Milan defender Fabio Cannavaro.

The Spanish champs want Cannavaro after Gaby Milito's move was scuppered over a failed medical last week.

Inter president Massimo Moratti is open to dealing with Real over Cannavaro, but will only accept a straight cash offer.

Real would prefer a player-plus-cash exchange involving Santiago Solari.

Moratti wants the cash deal to fund a move for Lazio's Jaap Stam.
