Real Madrid Striker Karim Benzema Settled In Spain

Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema has admitted he hopes to be with the Merengues for a long time to come.

Speaking to El Mundo Deportivo, Benzema said, "I do not want to be in transit in Madrid and leave in a few years at another club. What I want is to succeed here. And there's nothing more in my thoughts."

Benzema went on to totally dismiss any suggestions that he may be considering a move away from the club he joined just a matter of months ago.

"I want to be useful to Madrid and its people for many years. Hence, the difficulties you might have to play or not, are always second to the wonderful things that are happening to me. I try to play always, I work towards it."

Finally, Benzema admitted that after a rocky start to his life in Madrid, he is finally settled and happy in his personal life.

"The first four months I lived in a hotel, it was horrible, very bad. I do not want this to be an excuse [for my form], it’s nothing like that. But it's over. Now my private life has changed and that feeling ends."
