Real Madrid Striker Karim Benzema: I Am Gaining Confidence With Every Passing Day

Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema is happy with his performance in the 5-1 win against Murcia in the Copa del Rey on Wednesday evening.

Benzema started the second-leg match at the Bernabeu and etched his name on the scoresheet from the penalty spot.

"The team played great and worked hard throughout the entire match,” the France international told Madrid’s official website. “Scoring is always important, but what is even more significant is that I feel better and better each day."

Winger Angel Di Maria then gave his thoughts on the emphatic victory.

"We did our job and created chances from start to finish. Karim is a great player and he has a lot of talent. We are all sticking by his side."
