Real Madrid Striker Karim Benzema 'Frustrated' By Milan Defeat

Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema has spoken of his teams frustration at the 3-2 UEFA Champions League defeat to Milan at the Bernabeu on Wednesday night and says that the have more work to do in training.

"We're frustrated, it's very frustrating because we had a great first time. We did lots of good things, a beautiful game. In the second half they were more compact and created problems," he said, according to AS.

Benzema admitted that his side needed to look at alternative attacking options as their attempts to do damage straight through the middle of teams' defences is not always successful and he says they must work on attacking down the flanks as well as through the middle.

"It is true that we play more centrally and you have to try to play down the wings. These are things that we will work on in practice must carry over to games," added the French forward.

Real travel to Gijon to take on Sporting on Saturday night in the unfamiliar situation of having lost two out of their last three games.
