Real Madrid striker Benzema: No-one needs to tell me how good I am

Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema has hit out at his critics.

Benzema bristled when asked if he did enough work off the ball during games.

He told BeinSport: "You have to be here for a week to realise what I do. I'm the first to arrive and the last one to leave. I also work hard after training, at home, with weights to get bigger muscles and more power."

"I don't need to hear from others that I'm a great player. I know how much I work and what I am worth. This is my sixth season at Real. If I were any old player, Florentino wouldn't love me like a son."
