Real Madrid striker Benzema: I knew goals would come

Karim Benzema insists he never doubted himself after finally scoring his first goal for Real Madrid in their thrashing of Xerez on Sunday.

The French striker said: "Frankly, I never doubted myself."

"You want proof? Just four minutes after I missed a really easy chance made by Guti, I was able to score my first goal."

"I know for certain that more goals will follow this one."
