Real Madrid striker Benzema determined to build on Athletic Bilbao performance

Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema is determined to build on his performance in victory over Athletic Bilbao.

The France international played a starring role in Saturday's 5-1 Primera Division mauling of Athletic Bilbao, scoring once and being heavily involved in two other goals.

"I can't say if it was the most complete game because I have had other more decisive matches in the past," he told AS.

"But the most important thing is that, after my injury, I felt very good physically. After 15 days out I needed to feel the pleasure of playing again."
