Real Madrid step up push for Benfica defender Luisao

Real Madrid are stepping up their interest for Benfica defender Luisao.

The Brazilian international is being lined up as one of Real's first signings for season 2005/06.

Luisao is also wanted by Tottenham and Deportivo La Coruna, but Real are confident they have the spending power to sign the defender before the summer market opens.
