Real Madrid stars heap praise on Beckham

Real Madrid stars Luis Figo and Roberto Carlos have heaped praise on new signing David Beckham.

Portugal international Figo said ahead of Real's match in Thailand today: "The presence of David Beckham has fortified the team and to that end will help the club to win more titles - which is the target of everyone here."

Brazilian wing-back Roberto Carlos was asked if he minded sharing free-kick duties with the England skipper.

"No, not at all. David has already shown he is in fantastic form and to play in the same team as him is a pleasure."
