Real Madrid star Ronaldo funding medical treatment of young fan

Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo has funding the medical treatment of a young fan.

Ronaldo and his agent, Jorge Mendes, have stepped forward to cover the cost of a nine-year-old boy's cancer treatment.

Ronaldo and Mendes met Nuhazet at a game last season and immediately offered to help.

"In the hospital, they gave us three options: do nothing, carry out experimental tests or send a biopsy to the United States so they could produce personalised medication," Nuhazet's father explained to AS.

The boy's family are now awaiting the arrival of the "personalised medication".
