Real Madrid star Roberto Carlos agrees Fenerbahce deal

Real Madrid star Roberto Carlos is on his way to Fenerbahce.

AS says the former Brazil international wing-back has agreed terms on a two-year deal with the Turkish giants, with the option of a third season.

Roberto Carlos had representatives in Istanbul yesterday for talks with Fener, while he sat by the fax machine to study their contract offer. Included in the proposal is the option for the Brazilian to begin his coaching career with Fenerbahce once he hangs up his boots.

"I am happy because everything has been solved favorably. But until the 17th of June I will continue thinking about Real Madrid. I want to leave here in the same way that I arrived, winning the Liga. And that people never forget that always I will continue being a Madridista," said Roberto Carlos.
