Real Madrid sports chief Mijatovic: Levante offered me job

Real Madrid sports director Predrag Mijatovic has revealed former club Levante offered him the same job.

A former player with both Real and Levante, Mijatovic confirmed: "It's true, they offered me the sports director's position when I retired playing."

"But I wasn't ready and turned it down. I wanted to learn about the game from the inside. The sort of things you can't learn from books."

"Now I am prepared, though some people think the opposite."
