Real Madrid skipper Raul named Union chief

Real Madrid captain Raul has been elected as vice-president of the players' union (AFE).
 
AFE president Gerardo Gonzalez Movilla is delighted with the election of such a high-profile player.

"We think it is great news that is going to make a lot of people in the collective very happy," Movilla said.

"It shows that footballers are normal people who show solidarity for their companions."
