Real Madrid skipper Raul hits back at sale rumours

Real Madrid captain Raul has hit back at rumours that he will be sold at the end of this season.

The striker has struggled for form this season and is the subject of speculation that he will be among the rumoured three galacticos Real president Florentino Perez will seek to sell in the summer.

"If I had to leave, if that possibility was open to me, I would go if I felt it was the best possible thing for the club," Raul told ABC.

"There are people with agendas who want to push this idea of three or four galacticos being sold - and that I am part of this group."

"But what interests a certain section of the press is different to the reality at the club. I understand that after 11 years, people could be tired of me."

"But I can assure everyone that my ambition and desire has not changed. I want to do all I can to bring success to Real Madrid."
