Real Madrid skipper Casillas delighted with character shown for Valencia win

Real Madrid captain Iker Casillas was delighted with the manner of their victory at Valencia.

The visitors edged a five-goal thriller at the Mestalla.

Casillas remarked: "We suffered a little. We've just returned from being with our national teams and that takes its toll eventually. We faced a Valencia side that feels well on the pitch and strong at home. They had the support of their crowd and made things difficult for us. It was a beautiful and hard earned victory on our part."

"Valencia came back with Soldado's goals. Higuain's clearance right at the end was clean. I saw the ball hit his chest. I'm not used to conceding goals and I don't like it, but this is a victory you remember throughout the season."
