Real Madrid signing Woodgate "floating on clouds"

New Real Madrid signing Jonathan Woodgate admits he is still coming to grips at the speed of his move from Newcastle United.

"It has been a little crazy, incredible for me. I am enjoying every moment of my stay here," he told realmadrid.com. "For me to play for this team is something incredible."

"I have been through many emotions, and I have perhaps not had time to assimilate properly. It is a very most important time in my life. I'm very happy and I am thankful to Real Madrid to be here now."

Woodgate admits he'll be relying on England pals David Beckham and Michael Owen to help him adjust to life with Real Madrid.

"Yes, evidently they are going to help me very much. I know Michael and David from England, although I hope to be able to soon speak Spanish and to be able to also communicate with my Spanish companions."

He added, "I have come here because I think that I am joining a team that can fight for all the trophies. I hope to live many unforgettable experiences. It is like being on a cloud."
