Real Madrid signing Robinho accepts Santos fans anger

Real Madrid signing Robinho returned to action for Santos over the weekend, helping his Brazilian club to a 4-2 win over Corinthians.
 
With his future now settled, Robinho ended his self-imposed exile and impressed in his return for Santos.

"I want to go out on a great note with Santos," said the winger. "I still have time. I have left six games. And soon, I am going to succeed in Madrid. I am very happy and I hope to soon get to know my new teammates."

Robinho admitted the indifferent response from the Santos fans had unsettled him.

"I would like that someday the truth is known, especially what has happened in the last weeks," he said.

"I will have time to change the opinion of the fans. I see this as a normal consequence and it is possible that our relationship will not be the same again, but I will work hard to leave on a great note with Santos."
