Real Madrid signing Huntelaar: Dutch pals will help me

Big signing Klaas Jan Huntelaar is confident of adjusting quickly to life at Real Madrid.

The Ajax striker will complete his move to Real on January 1 and was presented to the local media yesterday.

Huntelaar said: "I think that adjusting is going to be easy because there are many Dutch in the squad and some of them I know from Ajax. It will be easier than if I had joined a club where I did not know anybody, but I have not stopped to think about it."

"Let's see how things are going and if I need help, I will say so."

He also remarked: "Yes, it is true that the Spanish Liga is a little better than the Dutch, but I will grow with it by playing with better players. The improvement will come and I will show what I can do."

"I have spoken with many people and their attitude towards me is very positive. They are very excited that I am here."

"At first, I was going to come at the end of the season, but with the injuries, progress has been made on my signing. I will have to fight and work hard to get a place in the team."
