Real Madrid signing Bale set for new adidas contract

Real Madrid signing Gareth Bale is set to land a new money-spinning contract with sponsors adidas.

The German sportswear giants are delighted with the former Tottenham ace's move to Real, where they are also kit sponsors.

Adidas anticipate Bale shirt sales this season to top 40,000 and to reopen the English-speaking merchandise market for Real.

Bale's current endorsement deal is worth €2.5 million-a-year and adidas are expected to sit down with the Welshman's camp in the coming weeks to negotiate a bumper pay-rise to reflect his new status.
