Real Madrid shirt now more valuable than Man Utd

Real Madrid are set to move ahead of Manchester United as the most marketable brand in world football.

Shirt sponsor Siemens are on the verge of agreeing to a revision of their present agreement with Real, which expires next year.

AS says the German telecommunications company has agreed to more than double its existing sponsorship - from £6.5 million to £15 million.

This is higher than Manchester United's deal with Vodafone, which was for £9 million signed in 2003.
