Real Madrid set to complete Mascarell deal

Omar Mascarell will re-join Real Madrid this summer from Eintracht Frankfurt, according to reports in Spain.

Marca, as cited by the Derby Telegraph, claims that the Spanish giants have activated their buy-back clause that was inserted into the deal that saw him move to the German side.

Mascarell has been impressing with Frankfurt and had even been attracting interest from Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga.

The player is set to re-sign for Madrid for a small fee believed to be in the region of €4 million.

During his first stint at the Bernabeu Mascarell failed to break into the first-team and spent time away from the club on several loan deals.

Frankfurt had been linked with Madrid youngster Marcos Llorente as part of the deal who would join as a direct replacement on loan, but it is yet to be seen if that will go through this summer.

Llorente has struggled for regular game time this season and has talked up the possibility of leaving the club this summer.
