Real Madrid seek buyers for Helguera, Pavon

Real Madrid coach Fabio Capello wants a new central defender.
 
Capello intends to move Sergio Ramos to the right of defence and wants to replace the youngster with a new centre-half signing. The Italian doesn't regard Ivan Helguera or Francisco Pavon as part of his plans this season.

Indeed, Real directors have told Capello they won't sign a new defender until they find buyers for Helguera and Pavon.

Pavon is a target for Real Betis and Villarreal, while Helguera has been linked with Valencia, though his £2.7 million salary and five-year contract is sure to prove a stumbling block for any interested club.
